Three-Side Seal Construction
The pouch features three factory-sealed sides and one filling side, creating a flat and compact structure. The food processor fills the pouch and seals the remaining opening after filling. This format is widely used for retort-processed ready meals and wet foods.
The flat profile also allows efficient heat penetration during thermal processing and helps reduce storage and transportation volume compared with rigid containers.
Retort-Grade High-Barrier Materials
The pouch can be manufactured with retort-grade multilayer laminates, such as PET/PA/RCPP, PET/AL/RCPP, or other structures selected according to the food formulation and processing conditions.
Aluminum-based structures provide strong protection against oxygen, moisture, and light, while transparent high-barrier structures can be selected when product visibility is required. Material construction should always be matched to the specific retort process and food application.

Vacuum and Package Integrity
Vacuum sealing can be incorporated into the filling process to reduce residual air and improve package compactness. For ready meals containing sauces, oils, or moisture, the sealing area must remain clean and free from food contamination to prevent weak seals or leakage.
The pouch structure can also be engineered for resistance to puncture, delamination, leakage, and deformation during filling, retorting, transportation, and storage.
